About Fedcap Australia
Fedcap Australia is a member of The Fedcap Group.

Established in 1935 by three First World War veterans who returned home with significant disabilities, Fedcap was founded on the vision of creating economic stability for themselves and for fellow veterans with disability through meaningful employment. Over the decades, Fedcap’s mission has expanded to support a broader community of people with disability, while maintaining a strong commitment to removing barriers to economic wellbeing.

Today, The Fedcap Group employs a dedicated workforce of more than 3,500 people and partners with over 110 corporate supporters, reflecting its significant reach and impact. Through its expansive network, Fedcap supports more than 250,000 people of all ages each year—many of whom live with disability—as they pursue economic independence, primarily through employment. In the past year alone, we have helped over 26,000 individuals secure meaningful work, demonstrating our commitment to transforming lives through workforce participation.

The Fedcap Group operates across 20 states in the United States and has established an international footprint in the United Kingdom and Canada. Our portfolio includes more than 20 subsidiary organisations, each contributing to our holistic approach to advancing economic inclusion. These subsidiaries enable us to tackle barriers from multiple perspectives, spanning workforce development, education, health, and economic development—ensuring comprehensive support for those we work alongside.

At the heart of The Fedcap Group’s mission is a belief in the transformative power of meaningful work. We see employment as a key factor influencing health, social inclusion, and overall quality of life. Our goal is to address the root causes of economic disadvantage for people with disability by providing clear pathways into employment that not only improve individual lives, but also strengthen the communities in which they live.

To achieve this mission, we are focused on ensuring equitable access to the resources that drive economic opportunity. We are committed not only to delivering high-quality services to individuals, but also to boosting the economic potential of communities and shaping public policy to bring about lasting, systemic change. Our leadership in policy and advocacy has positioned Fedcap as a leading voice in influencing disability policy both nationally and internationally.
Our organisation is committed to full transparency and that is why we publicly release our financials on a biannual basis. We’re one of the few nonprofits to do so.
